What is an ARC?

A: ARC is Advanced Reader Copy.

It is a way for readers to get free books. In exchange, the author hopes the reader will leave an honest review on the site where the reader normally goes to purchase books. The review is not obligatory, but it is certainly appreciated.

George has some reviews on Goodreads, but these can be made by anyone and are considered community reviews. Amazon favors reviews from actual purchases made on... Amazon. Those are called "verified purchase reviews" and count more toward steering more prospective readers toward more book purchases. For that reason, guess where I want you to post your review.

Q: "What happens after the book is released?" you ask. "Can I still get a free book?"

A: Sure you can. Join my street team. A street team is the feet on the streets calling out how great the books are. The book is still free in the hopes you will post a review.

Q: So what's the difference? Glad you asked.

A: The ARC team is before publication and the review and rating are to be posted within a week of the publication date. This helps drive the book's ranking which makes it more visible to other readers.

Q: Looking below, I see I have to sign up. Why?

A: Because I need you to explicitly agree to receive material that is for 18+. It war, some gore, lots of hazing, and a good dose of all of society's ills. I can't just let you download that without you agreeing to that. Also, I need your email address :)

Are you ready?

Street Team Signups

This is easy. There is only one ARC team at a time because creating a book takes time.
